An Americana Backyard Wedding for Fourth of July!Modern 4th of July Party Ideas
Donning top hats, fake mustaches and smiles, clown noses, and a giant plastic engagement ring, Marisa and Paul’s wedding guests clamored to capture their frivolity in photos. The couple engineered a photo station on the lawn with simple elements: a digital SLR camera, a tripod, a ring flash (a donut-shaped flash that fits around the camera lens and eliminates shadows in close-up photography) attached to a professional flash, and a remote control tied with a piece of ribbon to two chairs facing the camera. Guests chose their props, sat down, and hit a button on the remote each time they were ready. After the celebration, Marisa and Paul loaded the photos onto their wedding website for everyone to enjoy. Best of all, the flash equipment and remote are readily available online or at many camera retailers.
